Bio:
Dr. Melanie Vicino is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor and the founder of Trinity Naturopathic, dedicated to providing comprehensive, individualized care to the Fort McMurray community. Passionate about improving access to integrative healthcare in Northern Alberta, she focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of illness while helping patients achieve lasting health and vitality.
Dr. Vicino has a special clinical interest in neuropsychiatry, hormonal health, metabolic disorders, thyroid disease, and complex chronic illnesses. She is particularly passionate about investigating the underlying drivers of persistent health concerns, including chronic viral infections such as Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), mold-related illness, stealth infections, immune dysregulation, environmental toxicities, and their impact on brain function, energy, and overall health.
Her approach combines evidence-informed naturopathic medicine with functional and clinical nutrition, advanced laboratory testing, lifestyle medicine, and personalized treatment plans designed to restore resilience and optimize the body's innate ability to heal. Recognizing the intricate relationship between the brain, immune system, hormones, gut, and environment, Dr. Vicino takes a systems-based approach to uncovering why patients become unwell—not simply treating symptoms.
Committed to treating the whole person, she empowers patients through education, collaboration, and compassionate care. Whether supporting individuals with anxiety, depression, ADHD, chronic fatigue, autoimmune conditions, hormonal imbalances, or complex chronic health challenges, Dr. Vicino is dedicated to helping her patients regain energy, clarity, and quality of life.
Through Trinity Naturopathic, she strives to set a new standard of care in her community—one that is compassionate, evidence-informed, thorough, and deeply transformative.
